Comparing/Contrasting "Classical Straight-Edge" and "Modern Straight-Edge"

PhoenixHeart Press has published an article discussing how the straight-edge movement has changed into something unintended by its originator Ian MacKaye and Minor Threat. Most important in this is the violence and group-think gang mentality that seems to have enveloped it. This seems to have everything to do with our concerns here. The article discerns between the original "Classical Straight-Edge" and "Modern Straight-Edge". Take a look!

Articles on Libertarianism, Anarchy, and The State

For all the talk here about anarchy and such, it would be good to provide some articles. Here is a growing list of articles on the general topic from PhoenixHeart Media's collection. You can browse by TITLE. Those with titles including "anarchy" or "vertical spectrum" are highly recommended, as well as anything by Murray Rothbard. You can always find more like this by way of the links to the right of the page! http://phoenixheartmediatopics.blogspot.com/2005/05/libertarianism-anarchy-state-anti.html

The Yellow Day Brigade's 'Stop Kidding Yourself' - a true rationalhardcore document

The Yellow Day Brigade is "industrialized" rationalhardcore with a great deal of "old school" influence in its sound. 3 mp3s ("It", "No Response", and "Heartless Bloody Victims") are currently available at its website for YDB Records, http://ydbrecords.blogspot.com/

The album has 18 songs, and YDB Records has more Libertarian/Paleoconservative music on the way. 'Stop Kidding Yourself' could be considered the first "official" rationalhardcore album (though there were bits of what we call rationalhardcore throughout most of the history of hc music), and we hope to see more like it.
